Frances Guy presents the vision of the Alexandria Trust at GSx 2013

Leipzig, 6 July 2013 – Frances Guy, Representative for UN Women in Iraq and board member of the Alexandria Trust, presented the vision of the Trust to the Global Skills Exchange (GSx) conference in Leipzig, Germany, alongside WorldSkills 2013. The challenge for this year's conference was to tackle the massive imbalances and skills gaps that exist between developed and emerging economies.

In a short presentation that packed a lot of important messages, Frances spoke of the need to radically change education in the Arab region and how the Alexandria Trust's vision hopes to contribute to addressing this challenge, especially in dealing with the deficit on vocational training in the Middle East and North Africa.

The conference looked at the experiences and policy dilemmas of G7, BRICS, MENA and Gazelles country models, transnational companies, and key global business sectors.
