Fundraiser for the Trust in Alexandria

Alexandria, 28 January 2014 – At a dinner event generously hosted at the residence of Dayna Bahig, the Trust's honorary representative in Alexandria, Egypt, more than 50 prominent guests were introduced to the Trust's activities. Alexandrians with a wide variety of business and cultural interests met with each other to learn about the Trust's key projects and future ambitions.

Executive Director David French and Trustee Charles Clarke (Rt. Hon.) presented the Trust's vision and work to a gathering of members of the Alexandrian business community. Also in attendance were the United Kingdom's Ambassador to Egypt, James Watt, the Director of the Library of Alexandria, Ismail Serageldin, and the Director of the Swedish Institute, Birgitta Holst Alani.

An enthusiastic endorsement of the event from the Director of the Library of Alexandria, and a lively Q&A session with the guests followed.
